Workshop held as part of the Career Booster Offer dedicated to : ALUMNI 2016 & 2017
SETTING YOUR CAREER STRATEGY TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MASTERS
WORKSHOP LED BY JANE BARRETT
No matter what career direction you decide to pursue (getting a job, changing career or starting or developing a business), a clear understanding of what you have to offer and what you want from your career is crucial in determining your actions to make that happen.
For many of you seeking employment, if you can clearly demonstrate what you have to offer and where you want to head professionally you will be stronger at interview than someone who has not taken the time to do this groundwork. The session will focus on your challenges, which you will be asked at the very start, so come prepared! These will then be incorporated into:
• A quick review of the importance of the Career Assessment Process
• A recap on how research fits with the next steps of your job search strategy and how it leads into networking.
• What recruiters are looking for and how to stand out in your applications in this competitive market
The workshop will give you the viewpoint of an ‘in-house’ recruiter, entrepreneur and search and selection consultant. There will be an opportunity to discuss some of the key elements in your career and start the process of research.
