Thursday 12 June, from 08:30 to 10:00 am, the EMLYON FOREVER Alumni network together with The French Chamber is pleased to invite you to a join event: Luxury & digital media, when exclusivity meets mass communication tools.

Topic : While luxury brand have built their image on exclusivity and offline customer experience, digital media have open new ways to interact for brands and customers.

The influence and reputation of a brand is today built and nurtured in an interconnected world, opening great opportunities… and risks too.

 

Social media have open multi- way communications, threatening the full control that brands had of their image. e- and m-commerce are shaking exclusive distribution models.

Quite recently, luxury brands such as Burberry or Karl Lagerfeld showed that digital was a sensible option to revamp their brand image and develop their customer base in a very competitive and clustered environment.

 

Luxury shoppers are not immune to new digital behavior. Luxury brands have to decide how to engage on a path that is traditionally far from their “comfort zone”

Marine Obin-Ratto, Regional Marketing Manager at Interparfums

Marine has built a specific expertise in cosmetics industry developed for fashion and luxury brands. She held position in Europe at LVMH and Beaute Prestige International. Early 2011, Marine joined Interparfums, now in charge of marketing, media and merchandising activities in Asia-Pacific markets, for all 10 brands of Interparfums portfolio.

 

Christian de Verchère, Partner, ICP Consulting Asia

Christian has built his career in marketing and communications in MNC’s such as Peugeot, ABN AMRO and Bayer. With a specific expertise of Asia Market for the last 12 years, he worked on several digital projects in these different industries. Partner at ICP Consulting, a digital transformation consulting firm, Christian now extends the footprint of this company in Asia.

 

Douglas White, Social Media Mentor at MIT Enterprise Forum HK, Founder at Prosperity Research & Director at PRDA

Douglas has close to 30 years of digital experience. Having lived and worked in 23 countries he has both a personal and professional knowledge on the importance of technology and how it integrates local, regional and global interests. He has been featured on CNN and is a frequent speaker as an expert on the largest global online consumer market.

 

Moderator: Prof. Michel Phan, Associate Professor of Luxury Marketing at EMLYON Business School, Shanghai Asia Campus

Michel is the director of the MSc. in Luxury Management and Marketing program at EMLYON. He is also the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief of Luxury Research Journal, a cross-disciplinary academic journal published by Inderscience Publishers. Michel has an extensive academic and professional experience in the luxury industry, both in France and in Asia.
