I earned my PhD from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. My research interests focus on the embedding of knowledge workers and experts within organizations. I use a variety of methodological approaches to understand these issues, including big-data textual analysis and social networks analysis. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked in a non-profit sector in India. I am graduate in M.S. in Information Science of Penn State University, in Information Systems and Operations Management of the University of Florida, and in Computer Science and Engineering of Trichy. I am Professor of Eurasian Sport and Director of the Centre for Eurasian Sport, working at the intersection of Sport, Business, Politics and Technology (especially in a Eurasian context). With more than 25 years of experience in some of the most prestigious Business Schools in the world, my publications are numerous and I have worked with some of the biggest names in sport. Among them are the likes of UEFA, Coca Cola, Formula E and Real Madrid. I am recognized as being an influential global commentator on current issues in elite professional sports. I’m Full Professor of Digital Marketing at emlyon business school, Director of the AIM Research Center on Artificial Intelligence in Value Creation, Academic Co-Director of the MsSc in Digital Marketing and Data Science. I’m also Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University (Italy). I hold a HDR (Habilitation to Direct Researches) and a Ph.D. in Management. I was Visiting Scientist at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and Visiting Professor at Georgetown University, National University of Singapore, UCLA Los Angeles. My current research examines digital marketing, AI, consumer behavior and new technologies, robotics. I also studies value creation dynamics in digital ecosystems. I published several books, encyclopedias and articles in leading academic journals. I am professor of marketing and director of Lifestyle Research Center at emlyon business school. My areas of expertise and teaching focus on branding, consumer experience, lifestyle, digital media, and creative visual research methods. My research has received several awards, including The Sidney J. Levy Award, and has been published in top-tier journals like the Journal of Consumer Research, Organization, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, European Journal of Marketing, Recherche et Applications en Marketing, and Consumption Markets and Culture. I serve as the Associate Editor of European Journal of Marketing and in several editorial review boards. In addition, I regularly help companies in lifestyle branding and digital marketing. I am an organizational behavior scholar focusing on leadership. I study the invisible forces that shape the leadership process, in particular at the upper echelons of organizations. Prior to joining emlyon business school, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania. En savoir+


I study the organizational and institutional factors that contribute to, but also potentially alleviate, social problems - particularly various forms of inequality. Notably, my research examines how different forms of (social) entrepreneurship and hybrid organizing are used as a means for achieving socio-economic change.
