I hope that you and your loved ones are all safe and doing well.
Since October 28th last, The French President has implemented strict measures to limit the virus spread in France, thereby causing our campuses to partially shutdown, and courses to be taught remotely until the end of December.
This being a fast-changing situation, all of the staff and professors remain fully engaged in ensuring remote pedagogical continuity, still providing academic excellence for all our programs. To provide the best possible support to our students and allow them to face the hardships linked to the crisis, several solidarity measures were and continue to be deployed, measures in which you can play an essential role!
An emergency aid of €608K for students in difficult situations due to the sanitary crisis.
In such an unprecedented sanitary context, the Foundation of emlyon business school, along with our alumni network, had decided to release exceptional emergency funds of €200K last April, to help out the students in precarious situations. The School supplemented this solidarity funding, and it was actually €408K of financial aid which were allocated to 467 students.
As the situation is now long-lasting with heavy economic consequences, the School and its Foundation are renewing this solidarity aid for our students the hardest hit: an additional funding of €200K will be released.
As alumni, you can contribute to the funding of this aid: your generosity towards students is paramount to continue this solidarity operation we are all engaged in, and we need each and every one of you to make this operation a successful one!
To participate, you can donate directly online via the Fondation de France
We need your help to guarantee our students’ employability
Faced with an uncertain employment market, we have reinforced individual counselling and career support for the professional integration of our students. A COVID specific section is available on our Career Center’s platform, to access appropriate counsel to find internships and job positions in times of crisis.
In addition to these measures, I am reaching out to you and to the force of emlyon’s network, to open the doors of your companies and provide guidance to our students currently looking for an internship or a job, as a crucial professional experience for their employability and their future.
Thus, for any arising opportunity within your company, any internship opening, apprenticeship or fixed-term position, kindly share it directly on the alumni platform www.emlyonforever.com. Once connected, go to the Career section, in the “Jobs and internships” menu, and click on “Issue a job offer”. Your employment offer will automatically be shared on the students’ platform, tagged and promoted as “coming from alumni”.
Additionally, you can share the said job offer in the “Community” tab on our Job Teaser page, thereby allowing you to start discussing directly with the students interested by your job offer.
For any further question, or any suggestion, please contact the Director of Employability and Career Center Marc Pérennès: firstname.lastname@example.org
Should your support be for the solidarity fund raising or the employability help, please know that each action allowing to support our students facing difficulties, is significant. Allow me to thank you all warmly for your commitment and your support in such exceptional times, as symbols of our network’s dedication and force.
